The Federative Republic of Brazil occupies the central-eastern part of South America and has an estimated population of 210 million people.

Brazil is the twelfth biggest economy in the world. The population is mainly concentrated in the southern and south-eastern regions and this is where most of the importers from a wide range of industries are based.

Brazil's predominant imports are chemicals, petrochemicals, supplies for the electronics and IT industries, parts and pieces for the automotive industry and wheat. Brazil’s main imports from Chile are in the areas of copper and derivatives, chemical supplies, seafood (salmon), fresh fruit, dried and dehydrated fruits and nuts, bottled wine, paper, plastic, seeds, sea salt, olive oil, mining supplies, other manufactured goods, fertilizers, lamb and cellulose.
