Over the years, the citizen’s participation is an issue that has become increasingly relevant in public management. In this context, in 2011 Law No. 20.500 on Associations and Citizen Participation in Public Management was approved. The mechanisms for citizen participation established by Law No. 20.500 are declared in the General Standards of Citizen Participation (NGPC) of each Public Service. ProChile has implemented the following citizen participation mechanisms:
It is a mechanism for citizen participation, of a consultative and democratic nature, made up of government representatives and non-profit civil society organizations. It is related to the themes of public institutions competence (ministries and related bodies of the State).
They seek to deepen and strengthen the relationship between organized civil society and the State organs.
