Between March 9 and 10, ProChile together with Wines of Chile will be present for the first time at Vinexpo America 2022, one of the most important international fairs of the world wine industry, which will take place in New York City. Both entities that seek to promote Chilean wines in the United States will work together on this activity with the aim of exhibiting the broad and diverse portfolio that Chile offers to the US market.
A total of 9 Chilean wineries will be present in a pavilion where they will exhibit their Premium product lines from different wine valleys in the country, while highlighting their sustainability credentials.
The participating wineries are: VSPT Wine Group, La Prometida (Nobel), Las Veletas, Viña Maquis, Ventisquero, Vicus Orbis, Viña Aromo, Viña Hacienda Maule and Viña Terranoble.
This long-awaited meeting is an excellent showcase for Chilean wineries, since they will have the opportunity to show the diversity of wines that the country offers, in front of more than 2,500 attendees, including the most important retailers, importers and distributors in the United States.
In addition, it will have educational sessions and activities that include conferences, master classes, and round tables with panels of experts, among others.
“Wine exports in 2021 totaled US$1,968 million, 6.5% more than in 2020, with China, the United States and the United Kingdom being the main destinations for this product. The return to attendance at fairs and the possibility of showing our wines live opens up the possibility for us to continue growing our exports”, said Christophe Desplas, Trade Commissioner of ProChile in New York.
And he added: "New York is the third State with the highest consumption of wine, after California and Florida, so Vinexpo America is a great platform for the promotion of Chilean wines and a very good starting point for this 2022".
Chile already participated in February of this year in Vinexpo Paris, and has planned its participation in Prowein Düsseldorf in Germany, an activity subject to confirmation based on the situation of the pandemic in the world.
