All this within the framework of Chile On Board that is being developed virtually in the United States, an event organized by ProChile with the aim of increasing the knowledge of the country and its offer, as a reliable supplier, with strong concern for high quality, safety and sustainability of its goods and services.
“Chile has free trade agreements with 80% of world GDP; a vision of the State around the development of this industry and clear rules and known by all the actors. These are some of Chile's competitive advantages for investors ”, highlighted the Minister of Energy and Mining, Juan Carlos Jobet.
It should be noted that the Chilean Ministry of Energy has created the National Green Hydrogen Strategy, with a view to making Chile the main producer of H2V by 2030 and the main exporter by 2040.
To achieve this objective, the international promotion of this great country initiative is crucial. This is how ProChile has joined this task to position Chile as a leader in the production and export of Green Hydrogen, through an H2V Promotion Plan led by its General Director, Jorge O'Ryan, based in the Sustainability team , and developed and implemented through its network of offices abroad, where each macro-region (Asia, Europe, North America, South America and Central America) has determined the most relevant aspects to promote according to the potential identified in their respective countries.
“Since June 2021, the group of ProChile offices in the United States has worked on the definition of the relevant areas in the market, aligned with the national H2V strategy of both the Ministry and ProChile's promotion plan and that they have to do with with management and commercial intelligence, highlighting the survey of North American companies associated with investment in renewable energy projects, as well as the identification of relevant leads in the financial industry with an interest in H2V developments and clean energy in general, projects and local actors in storage and logistics, and possible future H2V off-takers ”, highlighted the General Director of ProChile, Jorge O'Ryan.
And he added: "This second semester the ProChile network in the United States decided to initiate a relationship with the local financial industry through this virtual seminar that has been led by Minister Juan Carlos Jobet, who leads this country project, with the aim of presenting the opportunities offered by the Chilean green hydrogen industry to high profile US investors ”.
