The publication brings together the key results, milestones and lessons learned from the national project that showcased Chile in one of the world’s most relevant global platforms, highlighting its cultural, commercial and cooperation achievements.
Chile has released the Institutional Report of its participation in Expo Osaka 2025, a document that summarizes six months of work, programming and achievements during the Universal Exposition held in Japan. The report compiles the results of a collaborative national effort involving the public and private sectors, communities and regional actors, which enabled the country to present its cultural, economic and creative diversity to millions of visitors.
Over the course of the Expo, Chile welcomed more than 2 million visitors, implemented 20 thematic weeks, involved over 160 institutions, and received the Bronze Medal for Thematic Development from the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), recognizing the conceptual and curatorial quality of the pavilion Makün: The Mantle of Chile.
The report also highlights the main milestones in international cooperation, including agreements signed with Osaka and other strategic Japanese partners, as well as cultural, scientific and commercial activities that strengthened Chile’s presence in Asia.
Paulina Nazal, Chile’s Commissioner General for Expo Osaka 2025, noted: “This report reflects a collective effort that showed the world a Chile that is diverse, creative and connected to its identity. Our presence at the Expo was a unique opportunity to build bridges, foster new collaborations and project the country on a global stage.”
