Chilean Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodoro Ribera and Director of the Chilean Export Promotion Bureau (ProChile) Jorge O’Ryan present ChileB2B, the first international eCommerce platform developed by the Chilean government.
The website, which was created to generate more opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises in Chile, connects Chilean exporters with importers from around the world. Both parties are verified by ProChile before being granted access to the platform, providing security and confidence for all involved. In addition, a multilanguage chat feature with real-time translation allows users to communicate in their native language.
“This a great moment for our international trade policy,” explained Minister Ribera. “With this platform, we are changing the way that Chile exports. ChileB2B will make international trade more accessible and inclusive”, says Chilean Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodoro Ribera.
To date, ChileB2B has registered more than 700 Chilean exporters and 300 importers from across the globe. By leveraging the platform, companies have already entered in negotiations valued at USD $25 million.
The ChileB2B initiative is part of a broader digitalization and modernization plan by the Chilean Government to diversify exports, facilitate internationalization, and support entrepreneurship.
