Foods from Chile: Safety, Sustainability, Innovation

September 22, 2020

2In the food and beverage sectors, Chile supplies close to 200 countries—testament that we comply with the highest standards required by world consumers: safety and quality.

This allows us to be the world’s largest exporter in several categories of the food and beverage sector, while continuing to comply with the required safety and traceability protocols.

2019 – Export Leadership in 2019[1]

In 2019, Chile was the world’s top provider of fresh cherries, fresh plums, dehydrated apples, and dehydrated plums. This leadership, together with Chile’s diverse geography has allowed for the development of a varied agricultural food offering, that adapts to new challenges, with a focus towards the innovative and sustainable effort of dynamic and competitive sectors.

Today’s consumers have very high standards and actively look for foods that are nutritious and healthy as well as foods that have a history and practice social responsibility.

“Chile Keeps on Going for You”

Chile is a resilient country that has managed to overcome great catastrophes and the current situation will not be an exception.

The COVID-19 pandemic has created a great deal of uncertainty around the world. Despite the impact that the pandemic has had on various aspects of life, Chile has continued working, producing, and exporting its food products in a safe manner within the context of the global health crisis.

We want to show the world that Chile has continued to be proactive in working to meet the needs of the global population. Our industrial and supply chains have remained active throughout these months, complying with the safety protocols and international commitments, while implementing a series of measures in order to maintain the standards and trust of importers and final consumers. For this effort, we have joined in a public-private effort to be able to let the world know that “Chile Keeps on Going for You.”
