NY Now 2018
Chile to focus on sustainable design & craft at NY Now 2018
Four design companies and more than a dozen entrepreneurs from Chile will participate in the Summer 2018 edition of NY Now. The event will take place at the Javits Center from August 12 to 15, and is expected to attract more than 20,000 buyers in the home, lifestyle, and apparel/accessories industries.
The Chilean designers look to promote a series of sustainable and native products that reflect the immense environmental diversity of Chile, from the glaciers of Patagonia to the arid Atacama Desert. Products will include leather insoles (Chilote Shoes), decorative buttons (Button Art), indigenous jewelry (Joyas Nativas), and footwear made from Patagonian sheep’s wool (Pie de oveja). The entrepreneurs will be represented by Sociedad Punto Aparte.
This talented group is supported by ProChile, a branch of the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Relations that specializes in the promotion of Chilean goods and services throughout the world.
