 World university rankings

QS also publishes a world ranking of universities. It includes only three Latin American in the top 200: The University of Sao Paulo ranks 127, with 63 points, the National Autonomous University of Mexico, ranks 163, with 57.3 points, and the Catholic University of Chile, ranks 166, with 57 points.

The first institution in the world is the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, followed by Harvard University, both Americans, and English from Cambridge University.

Paris has only two institutions in the top hundred of the latter ranking, but it is the best city for students because it scores high on criteria such as quality of life, cost of studies and attractiveness of their degrees when looking for work.

QS takes into account only cities of over 250,000 inhabitants which have at least two universities when ranking.
