In its World Investment Report 2016, UNCTAD ranked Chile as the world’s 19th largest recipient of foreign direct investment (FDI). In 2015, US$20,457 million entered the country by this means.
Chile was the 7th largest recipient of FDI among developing and transition economies in 2015, according to UNCTAD.

Between March 5 and 8, Chile will once again be present at the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) trade show, the world's leading event in mineral exploration, which takes place every year in Toronto. An event sponsor for the second consecutive year, Chile will carry out a range of activities to present its portfolio of projects in association with the Chilean National Mining Corporation (Empresa Nacional de Minería, Enami).
The Chilean Government will present the country's official delegation to the latest edition of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) trade show, the world's leading event in mineral exploration, which takes place every year at the Metro Toronto Convention Center.
Chile will inaugurate its stand at the PDAC 2017 International Trade Show. 400 guests will be in attendance, led by the Minister of Mining, Aurora Williams, along with Chile's ambassador to Canada, Alejandro Marisio. Booth 1349, North Building, Metro Toronto Convention Center.
Chile will hold its international seminar, geared towards all stakeholders interested in finding out about opportunities for investing in the country, which is the world's largest copper producer.
